Virtual coins, diamonds or points can unlock episodes inside many short drama apps. When the balance looks wrong, the cause may be an expired bonus, another account, a delayed purchase or an episode transaction that was recorded without refreshing the screen.
Do not buy more coins until you understand the original balance and transaction.
Paid coins and bonus coins may be separate
An offer can combine purchased coins with promotional coins. The app may spend bonus coins first, apply an expiration date or restrict where they can be used.
Open the wallet, coin history or terms and look for:
- paid balance;
- bonus balance;
- daily reward balance;
- expiration dates;
- platform-specific balances;
- recent deductions.
A large promotional total does not always behave like the paid portion of the pack.
Check the correct account
Coin balances usually belong to the app account, not only the device. Signing in with Google, Apple and email can create separate profiles even when the visible email looks related.
Record the current user ID and sign-in method. Check whether viewing history also changed; a missing history and missing balance together often point to the wrong account.
Avoid signing out of a guest account before support confirms how it can be recovered.
Review the coin transaction history
If the app provides a ledger, compare:
- purchase additions;
- daily rewards;
- ad rewards;
- episode unlocks;
- automatic next-episode deductions;
- expired bonuses;
- refunds or reversals.
An episode may unlock automatically during autoplay. Check whether the app has an Auto Unlock, Continue Watching or Spend Coins Automatically setting.
Turn off automatic spending if you want to approve each episode individually.
Confirm whether the purchase completed
A bank notification can reflect a temporary authorisation. Use the Google Play, Apple or developer receipt to confirm the transaction status.
If the payment is pending, wait for the official status rather than buying again. If completed, restart the app and use a wallet refresh or Restore Purchases control when the developer says it supports coin transactions.
Consumable coins are handled differently from subscriptions, so a standard store restore may not always add them again.
Why a rewarded ad may not add coins
An ad reward can fail when:
- the video was closed before completion;
- the connection dropped;
- the ad provider did not return a completion signal;
- the daily reward limit was reached;
- the app crashed before updating the wallet;
- the reward applied to a different balance or benefit.
Record the time, reward shown and resulting balance. Restart once and check the transaction history before watching repeated ads.
Never install another app or enter personal information merely to recover a missing reward unless the official offer clearly requires it and you have evaluated the destination.
Why an episode may remain locked after coins were deducted
The server may have processed the deduction while the episode list remained stale. Reopen the title, check the network and restart the app.
Confirm the exact episode. Some series use similar thumbnails or divide one story into seasons, causing viewers to open a different locked item.
If the deduction appears in history but the episode is still locked, capture both screens and contact support. Do not unlock it a second time unless support confirms the first transaction was reversed.
Expiration and regional rules
Bonus coins can expire after a promotion, daily reset or inactivity period. Paid coin expiration depends on the app’s current terms and applicable law.
Balances may also differ between Android, iPhone and web purchases. Check whether the developer allows cross-platform use before changing devices.
Do not rely on an old review for expiration rules. Save the current offer and terms when purchasing.
Safe troubleshooting order
- Screenshot the balance and user ID.
- Review transaction history.
- Confirm the store receipt and product.
- Check paid versus bonus balances.
- Disable automatic episode spending.
- Restart and update the app.
- Verify the correct account and platform.
- Contact official support with the episode and transaction details.
Avoid clearing app data or reinstalling while using a guest profile.
What to send support
- user ID or account email;
- sign-in method;
- purchase order number;
- coin pack name;
- balance before and after, if known;
- series and episode;
- transaction timestamp;
- screenshots with unrelated personal details hidden;
- app version and device.
Do not send a password, verification code or full payment-card number.
Prevent future balance confusion
- Keep receipts for every paid pack.
- Screenshot promotions with bonus conditions.
- Check expiration dates.
- Turn off automatic unlock if available.
- Use one consistent sign-in method.
- Avoid maintaining paid balances on several apps at once.
- Review the wallet after each purchase.
Short drama coin systems can combine several balances and access rules. A missing total is easier to resolve when you preserve the account ID, receipt and transaction history before making another payment.
